Revision3 open letter to Conan

// January 18th, 2010 // General musings

Well, I wrote about how Conan should go online a few days ago here (and below if you keep reading) and now it seems as if Revision3 read my post — that was a joke.

But seriously, internet television’s Revision3 has written an open letter to Conan O’Brien offering him a job. Ryan Vance, the VP of programming and production with the company opened his letter with this:

Mr. Conan “CoCo” O’Brien,

I’m taking this opportunity to officially offer you a brand-new show of your choosing here at Revision3.  Rest assured, you’ll be able to bring your set, band and even Andy (especially Andy) with you as you transition to our cutting-edge online TV network.  We have room for the Masturbating Bear, FedEx Pope and even Mini Jay Leno here on the internet.

Have you seen the internet lately?  It’s huge!

The letter, though it probably won’t be taken seriously by some, should provoke thought. It stresses a lot of what I was trying to get across before. The opportunities for Conan online are limitless and he could pave the way into the future like no one ever has in television. I’m holding out hope that once he says goodbye to NBC that he’ll give something like this some legit thought.
