Most Valuable Network, LLC (web administrator/recruiter/blogger) – July 2008-November 2009

  • Initially started work at MVN as a featured blogger for the MLB and NHL at its premiere blog, MVN Outsider. I wrote weekly pieces on both leagues for the blog, as well as contributed on podcasts for each post.
  • Took over control of MVN’s Penguins blog after its writer moved to another network. Covered the 2008-09 season, produced podcasts and hosted live post-game shows.
  • Moved into a role as a recruiter in early 2009. I worked to build relationships with independent blogs/bloggers and bring them into MVN’s network, either as an official MVN team or partner blog.
  • In June 2009, I accepted a position to work as a second web administrator. I handled all backend duties of MVN’s Movable Type platform and served a key role in the company’s transition from that to WordPress MU before closing its doors. I designed, edited and formatted code. I troubleshooted blogger/reader e-mails and worked with a team of others to produce the best product we could.
